Guest guest
A UTI can increase back pain and spasms. I would wait to see how u feel once the UTI is resolved. My spasms always go crazy when I have a UTI, and sometimes my neuropathy increases a bit as well. UTIs r common in ppl with bladder issues, and especially in ppl who cath - even when they do everything right and even if they use touchless catheters. Some ppl are just more prone to UTIs (I am. I get at least 4/year, and I use touchless caths, wipes and am very diligent). I have a friend that washes & reuses straight caths and doesn't use wipes and rarely gets a UTI. She can carry them in her pocket and still wouldn't get a UTI. Just the person. Jenn Sent from my iPhone Could you please share your " retether " story? What were your signs? I have started to have bladder issues (near UTI a few days ago.. antibiotics etc), and lower back pain that seems to be amplified. Maybe I'm just freaking out? Guest guest
Hi , When I retethered I had urinary and bowel issues, I have severe back pain, and my toes started to on my left foot started to curl up. I was honestly quite miserable, I think worse than the first time. I also developed migraine headaches that were so severe I couldn't get out of bed. Have you called your doctor, don't wait because if it is a retethering it can do damage to the nerves quickly. Please let me know if you need any other information. Guest guest
Hi , I had surgery March 30th. In the last two months I have had several migraines and have a spot about three inches up from my scar thats really bothering me. Is this a strong sign of retether? Subject: RE: Signs of retether... Guest guest
Could be. My doctor discovered with my last MRI that I have developed a spinal fluid leakage which he feels is causing my migraines. Everyone's symptoms are different but I think you should call your doctor and get it checked. Better to be safe. To: tetheredspinalcord From: redgecko97@... Guest guest
Thanks everyone, I am going to e-mail him this afternoon and see what he would like to do. I just finished my course of antibiotics and I still don't feel right. I went to the bathroom a total of 3 times yesterday! My bladder had seemed to improve dramatically after the surgery.
