Guest guest
Norma - yes, I am the one who lives in Sioux City. Both our sons graduated from the University of Iowa.......tryng to think the years when they graduated, I believe 1989 and 1992. We made many many trips to Iowa City during those years and of course loved it. About the acapella........I used it for quite a long time when I purchased it myself (around $90) but now medicare will pick up the cost. They told me that medicare will pay for one every 6 months. I keep one in the car just in case I feel the need. We don't have a respiratory therapist at our American Homepatient but the mgr. is very knowledgble about lung problems........he gives me more information than my Dr. Hope you are getting along okay. Thanks for responding about the Flimm Fighter....I think I will ask for one for Mother's Day! It seems to me that this would be good in that you can focus on certain parts of your chest. I got my first nebulizer, a Respironics, from American Homepatient. That is where my pulmonologist sent the prescription. They are located near the hospital where I go when I have to be hospitalized with pneumonia. I did not find them to have good customer service, and they were located too far from my home so I switched to another one in my area. Did they have a respiratory therapist at American Homepatient? The company I use does not have one full time now. How long do you use the Acapella before discarding? I go to the hospital so frequently that I now have accumulated three Acapellas and one Acapella Choice that my pulmonologist prescribed. It is nice to have several since they need to washed daily and disinfected. It is so humid down here in Texas most of the time that they do not dry quickly. Are you the member who lives in Sioux City, Iowa? We stopped there overnight and went to the zoo on a trip West. We lived in Iowa City, Iowa for about 12 years.
