The Cortisone shot was just kind of a general question. I just remember the shots in my back 20+ years ago...and the immediate relief afterwards. I'm not thinking about the shots anymore. Nor am I taking MS-Contin. Within 2 days (and just 2 pills) I felt like I had a horrible flu and headache. I went back to Oxcarbazepine. It doesn't help much but I get no horrible side effects. I see the Dr. later this month and I'm going to ask him about Savella. He had mentioned it but prescribed the MS-Contin instead. Jodi >Cortisone shot where? The docs are against the shots (some of them) because they feel the steroids are not good for you. I am on pain meds around the clock, and they help me more than the shots. The pain docs are funny... some are more injection only, others are pain meds... I have one doc that does the injections (buttocks trigger points every 2 months) and another that prescribes the pain meds. In my experience seeing 30+ physicians before finding someone stable they are either for one or the other. >Is this like an epidural shot?? Or??
