Guest guest
hi Herb (?) (sometimes a little difficult to follow the track...) re antidepressants .... yes, I've been prescribed them and used them short term in the last few years. I now have learnt (because I also know my Dr well) to ask about this if I know I'm going to have to deal with a super stressful time, or health is in a really stressful phase. I've never found any problem coming off them, mainly because used for a specific purpose and when that is finished I just forget I 'need' them, so don't need them. This process started off with some contentions: I resisted the notion that I had an 'anxiety / depression problem' etc. I asked for clinical tests which showed I didn't, end of that. I've found if used specifically, find the ones that suit etc, it's no big deal. cheers, joy
Guest guest
Sharyn - see post to Herb re antidepressants. I know I had lots resistance - stigma being included. Have a Dr can talk to, knows me, how I am when ok, and when not well. Knows that long protracted times of unwell, hospital etc etc get you down. Have found short term periodic anti-depressants have helped thru more than usual hard times. Been a while finding the right one. So if have one you don't like, don't give up, try others, til you find one that works for you. cheers joy h
