Hi ,

I think the upper back/arm stuff is because he told me to sleep on

my stomach because of the lower back pain. It was so severe before surgery I

was getting 2 hours sleep a night. It was like that for months. I even got a 2

week off letter from work, which my boss did not like and I was coming in

anyway.. but that's another story.

Now the lower back is controlled, but if I don't take my meds on time I start

feeling it. He just thinks that too much damage has been done to that area,

that he can't say it will go away, esp. not with the surgery. We had a very LONG

conversation about it, and he told me to only do the surgery because of the

bladder. (I had bladder issues)

I had a regular MRI that initially diagnosed it, it was an open MRI of all

things. He wanted to confirm that diagnosis, and he did not like the open MRI so

we did one at Uni of Chicago. I had another one done in late Feb to confirm the

cord was free and not tethered.

Thanks... I'm kinda over it. Have some great job leads. I have been in sales for

a LONG time and I don't deserve BS.

Why does he think the low back pain will never go away? What does he think its

due to? Was it the flip flop MRI before surgery that confirmed diagnosis? So

sorry to hear about your work.

have had two surgeries for TCS.

Any chance the low back pain is coming from your sacral area. I've had that bad

for a long time. Intense massage at pt relieved it last year, but its back w a

vengence since surgery. Starting with massage and manipulation again to loosen

the entire area up

No.. I went to PT for that area for a long time (after surgery). Nothing to do

with it. It feels like a horrible toothache, very sharp and raw vs. the

pelvic/sacral stuff I had.. it was more a burning/throbbing. That was helped by

PT twice.

But thank you for the suggestion :)
