Guest guest
Hi Herb, I just picked up the post you wrote with your concerns about your Mother. What a truly hard situation. With bronch I'm getting the feeling at 59 yrs old that the aging process seems magnified, and starts much earlier (maybe that's only if bronch starts early in life). If it helps: I've found the best mix when under stress is: 5mg valium when needed (or break in half), with Cymbalta. If you Google it you'll find what other brand names it comes under. It is a noradrelin uptake (or something like) and helps with pain, which for me is why have been using it. It's was originally developed as an antidepressant. I haven't noticed any adverse reactions.Having said that - I do well on some meds that are well known as causing many people problems, I react to some that are regarded as quite mild. Our individual physiology can be quite particularOne aspect I think is worth considering - & my Dr made me aware of this - is that prescribing meds which may be addictive isn't really an issue, not like for a 19 or 39 year old. It must be so hard for your Mother - aging, unwell, loss, all those things. If she can find a Dr she's comfortable with and stay with, so he/she gets to know her it makes such a huge difference. The change that one aspect has made to my health management is priceless - to the extent I do not want to leave this area while this Dr is here. Sorry for the long post Herb - I have a Mum who's had amazingly health but now sounds so so similar. I'm getting older enough myself now to feel the impact of a disease that started circa 50+ Years ago. Put the 2 together. It is so great you access this site for your Mum, and learn what she needs on behalf, it must so so hard.
