Yes, the intravenous curcumin is really interesting. I am finishing up with

chelation therapy with my doctor (integrative medical MD) for other health

issues and once that's done, and if I'm still having a lot of pain I will try

the curcumin -- I'll see how I do on the fish oil in the next few months first.

Right now he is recommending that patients take 10 weekly treatments of

intravenous curcumin and then continue with one maintenance treatment a month.

So far he's had incredible results with some people, while others don't respond

quite as well. Too bad it all costs so much or I would be trying it now. If I

do end up doing a series of curcumin treatments I will be sure to post my

results. :) I do take a good quality curcumin supplement but it is difficult

for your body to absorb enough to have profound anti-inlammatory effects. DeeTo:

Hi Bob,

I would be interested in knowing the results of the IV curcumin?? Sounds

interesting! Let me know. And I appreciate all of the other stuff you have

sent my way ;0)

RE: managing neuropathy and pain

Has anyone tried high doses of fish oil for pain? My doctor has recommended that

I take 2,000 - 3,000 mg of EPA (in addition to the DHA in the fish oil pills). I

have avoided this for years due to a suspected fish allergy but after recent

testing have been cleared to go ahead and so far no reactions. I will report

back in a few months and let you know if it makes any difference in my pain

levels. For me, inflammation really feels like the trigger for my back pain as I

wake up relatively pain free til I start moving around. I'm also curious to see

if it helps my headaches. Interestingly, my doctor is also using intravenous

curcumin to treat many pain conditions, as well as an adjunct to cancer

patient's treatments and other inflammatory disorders. So far he has had amazing

results with some arthritis patients who are now completely off their meds --

this treatment is brand new to the clinic so still in the early stages of

understanding what it will help and what it won't. He's only been using it for

less than 6 months. That is another option I could try down the road to see if

it made a difference. Anyways, something to think about for those who cannot

tolerate many of the drugs. Here's an article I found:
