I was giving my son tryptophan for a few months, not knowing it may be causing his headaches and a rise in quinolinic acid. he is very stimmy , hyper and aggressive. Any ideas how to fix this now that I have stopped the tryptophan and added 5htp instead? He looks like he has symptoms of clostridia but I am just not sure if its the inflammation from quinolinic acid or clostridia and cant wait for a poop test. Aggression and headaches are bad. Any ideas??? I've added gabba and yucca but no changes.

I just want to make sure that those who are interested know that there is a facebook group for parents treating their kids with autism with MMS. If you want to join, email me.Thanks,Bethany

,

fwiw, gabba has been a trigger for seizures here. Our experience w 5htp was

about as bad. However, tryptophan is well tolerated and maybe because a lot of

it is shuttling to make B3.

Gaba can be problematic as well, some people reported symptoms similar to

Trytophan, but L- theanine is better tolerated by a lot of kids.

It calms them down and help to sleep better, perhaps this will be a better

supplement to try, also homeopathic camomile is excellent
