Guest guest
Hello Folks, I don't think I have seen any emails in a long time. Anyway, has anyone had experience with a spinal cord stimulator? Thanks for any info you might have to share. Randee
Guest guest
Thanks, Jan. The TWIN must be what we call here a TENS unit. I was wondering if that alone might also provide some help for my daughter. We are hoping to get her evaluated soon at Washington University Pain Center in Saint Louis. Guest guest
I am unable to use a spinal cord stimulator as well because one of my tethers is so low. I recently had a pudendal stimulator put in for my bladder, and they were able to find only one working nerve pathway. Needless to say, even for bladder treatment I combine both botox injections and the stimulator <sigh> Sadly, I am stuck on a lifetime course of strong meds as a result of arachnoiditis. Can't seem to do much about that. M. > Hello Folks, > I don't think I have seen any emails in a long time. Anyway, has anyone had experience with a spinal cord stimulator? Guest guest
Hey M. I do indeed fear the my dtr will also be " doing drugs " for a lifetime. I am scared we won't find anyone willing to give her opioids if that is all there is to relieve her pain. Are you on narcotics? Are they helping? It seems the trick is to have the long acting ... sort of a constant infusion....from what I am hearing versus going into pain, taking a drug, going into pain, taking a drug...Then again, one also has to be awake and alert...It all sucks, really. Someday a better answer???? Randee Re: Spinal Cord Stimulator I am unable to use a spinal cord stimulator as well because one of my tethers is so low.
