Guest guest
Aubrey -- thanks for wading in on this -- my doc specifically mentioned polysporin, but I bow to you! Penny
Guest guest
I somehow missed the vasaline discussion. What was it for? I just got a glimpse about fly in relation to it. Please let me know since I will be flying to Vegas on Feb 1st - still have 167 messages to wade through sorry if I've deleted some and am asking the same questions. I just can't keep up anymore. I'm buried with pain and work and just keeping up. Peg __________________________________________________
Guest guest
It had to do with protecting your nose from germs. Someone suggested polysporin at the advice of their doctor since planes recirculate air, plus it would keep your nose moist. Then someone said, polysporin would help against bacterial germs but not the viral, therefore using vaseline would accomplish the task of keeping the nose moist and cost less money. Then me, I pipe in that I now have another use for vaseline. ===== in Michigan (Dx UC 1984, Dx MISSING COLON 1999, Dx PSC 1997, PSC symptoms 2000) __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Oh thanks . I had to delete most of the messages from last week just to get caught up. I didn't miss anything important did I? Wish we were going to Vegas at the same time. Sure hope we don't hit bad rainy weather there like we're having here. It might even snow in my town (which would keep me from going into the next valley unless I have chains and I'm not buying chains to go to work fat chance). Even if we have 4 wheel drive it's so hilly and mountainous here we are just paralized trying to get anywhere if it snows. Hasn't done it down to the 1500 ft or less since 1987. It's nice to see it up in the mountains but I don't want to walk or drive through it. I don't even have a snow scraper or shovel and don't intend to get one. :-) I moved out here to get away from it. It's so cold here, it went down into the 20's last night and for here in sunny Calif that's cooooold. Guess I've been bragging too much about our warm weather. Phil is sick with a cold - hope that's all it is. I'll probably get it will we're away - how about that for a negative attitude. It seems like everytime we take a vacation I get sick during it. I'll have to try the vasaline in my nose. Would that help me from getting Phil's cold even off the plane, now? Guest guest
I had to fly to Chicago Sunday and used a surgical mask once I got on the plain. People look at you funny, but in my case - I have become accustomed to it. Darin
