Guest guest
I'm sitting here after a hard night, I am in pain...... I HAVE A FREAKIN TOOTH ACHE!!! Well because of the last couple of days of crap with my mother's husband I guess I have been clenching my jaw in my sleep. Which I do, when I am stressed out. Well......I had a crown put on last week, and it has been giving me a bit of pain, not bad, no biggie not eating on that side, so I thought I would wait the 3 weeks untill my permanent one gets here. Now after the last couple of nights of clenching and waking up with the PAIN......my waking hours are now painful. Well my point is.......I called the dentist and got a huge lecture about how I should have called them sooner.....that I didn't need to suffer in silence..... Ding, ding, ding.........that is my life story, suffer in silence!!! Stuff the pain, ignore the pain, hope it goes away, pray it goes away. What is wrong with me??? What will it take for me to realize that I don't have to suffer in silence anymore??? Off to the dentist.......drlingirl
Guest guest
Drlingirl, I was doing the same thing; stress-clenching my teeth at night. It was always esp. bad after speaking with nada on the phone. I'd wake up in the morning in serious pain. Anyway, my dentist made me a night guard. Oh SUCH relief!! It's really small, not like a football mouth guard, it just pops on over my two front teeth and prevents my teeth from touching. It's amazing. I wouldn't be without it now. You might want to ask your dentist about it. It's well worth it. Kindest regards, Mercy > Well because of the last couple of days of crap with my mother's > husband I guess I have been clenching my jaw in my sleep. Which I do, when I am stressed out. Guest guest
Funny Mercy, I'm boiling water to mold a sports guard as we speak. The one from the dentist isn't covered on my insurance......and they cost 350 bucks, yikes!!! If this doesn't work I will have to bite the bullet and buy one. The pain is just too great and is not fun to wake up to. Thanks Mercy.....drlingirl > > Well because of the last couple of days of crap with my mother's > > husband I guess I have been clenching my jaw in my sleep. Guest guest
Drlingirl, Yeah, they are not cheap. But like I said, they are worth every penny. I don't have any dental insurance at all, so I hear ya sistah. My dentist took pity on me and only charged me $250. I tried one of the sports ones and,...lol,I kept waking up drooling! I hope it works better for you. Anything is better than chomping in your sleep.
