Guest guest
From 2005 through 2007 I was able to get Tobi free from a pharmacy in Florida. Then I became resistant to it and was prescribed Polymyxin B. It my inpression that only patients with cystic fibrosis could get Tobi, which is specifically for inhalation, free. I believe that Tobi is the prefered inhaled antibiotic and it is covered in the US under Medicare Part B . I think your physician should be culturing your sputum and choosing the most cost effective drug.

Guest guest
I get Tobi free with with a diagnosis of bronchiectasis. Part B (not D) covers it and CS. My supplement picks up the rest. You could buy the injectable and dilute it with saline to save money, if you don't have a good supplement. Guest guest
Interesting. I used to get it with a $50.00 co-pay on my private insurance before I was eligible for Medicate & Humana. We learn a lot from each other. EILEEN From 2005 through 2007 I was able to get Tobi free from a pharmacy in Florida. Then I became resistant to it and was prescribed Polymyxin B. Guest guest
I only pay $3.00 for 7 ml of injectable Tobramycin twice daily for 15 days which is covered by Part D Medicare under Cigna. The compounding pharmacy supplies this medication. Guest guest
hi Austin, I agree about culturing sputum - really pointless trying out abx with bronch, really has to get specific otherwise we end up worse, not better. joy h (oz)
