I don't think i qualify for anything. I do understand your frustration, I never, even at age of 18 qualified for grants/subsidized loans for school. So worked and did college on my own. It gets annoying. I'm not sure how supplemental income insurance works, but from my understanding this would still be a pre x condition, unless done through work. Our insurance at work is $600+, and it's private. I think I'm going to speak to the doctor about switching my medication, even though it works so well for me. I just don't see spending $6k a year on meds- we don't even qualify for tax reimbursement! Thanks for all the advice though and best of luck to everyone else. >> >> >> Perhaps you can look into a supplemental insurance to help with the cost, > or you can get in touch with the distributer and ask if they have a patient > assistance program >> Michele >> >> >> ________________________________ >> >> To: Tetheredspinalcord <tetheredspinalcord > >> Sent: Thursday, October 6, 2011 7:51 AM >> Subject: Medication cost (are you kidding?!) >> >> >> >> My new dose of Oxycontin arrived yesterday, I have it shipped to my > house/work etc from the pharmacy across the street from my pain clinic.
