Guest guest
Dear fellow actors.I had a wonderful weekend with my son. He was very helpful in the garden, and helped me to sow lots of seeds in trays, and clear out the vegetable patch from last year. He laughed at the remains of miniscule parsnips and carrots which we missed last year because they were so small. There is something wonderful about gardening, and perhaps that's something about being an Englishman. I recall a book by Monty Don, the Jewel Garden, in which his story of depression is intertwined with his development as a gardener. By contrast, I attach a picture of fusion. It was from a visit to a formal Yorkshire garden from two summers ago. I remember being completely oblivious to the wonder around me, because my son had a medical appointment in the coming week. My wife took this picture because I had been "vacant" all day, and I look back as a reminder of where rumination takes you. I want to reach back in time, and give him both a hug and a kick up the arse. (And a clean - it was a muddy day!)My photos from this past weekend will, happily, look very different(Hope this is OK posting a picture - maybe my handsome good looks will attract some stalkers :0)Cheers, x 1 of 1 Photo(s)
