Guest guest
Hi:-)thanks much for letting us know about Sonja Batten's posts. My question is i have come to realize that a lot OCD sufferers out there who prefer traditional cbt, and 'cognitive restructuring' is something they really believe helps them. I would like to know, how would this technique work with, say someone struggling with Pure O, specifically Harm OCD ? What would the exercise look like for them?-K Designs."" For anyone interested in this very useful exercise, please see posts #2097 and #2119. It's a powerful way to begin to mindfully grow familiar with the old counter-productive choices patterns (cues, triggers) that are not aligned with values yet have become so ingrained they tend to be so automatic. And an opportunity to really access that, while stretching in the moment for something new.. and then noticing what comes up around that. Sorry for the error. Hope others find as much value with this ACT exercise as I am now finding. well wishes, t
