He started with The Power of Now and I liked it.D

I think Eckhart Tolle is interesting because what he talks about is essentially ACT concepts but expressed in his own way.His latest video:QA Sample - Dealing With Anger, Resistance and Pessimism

Observing self vs. Thinking Self. Can you people recommend any of his books?

It is rather humbling to hear him. I love this guy.His theory is not one science could use (pain body etc)but I've actually never heard him say anything that did notseem spot on, if I do just a little translation.

With regard to ACT, for the middle and the left sideof the hexagon (acceptance, defusion, observing self, now) he's really on top of it.Like most mystics less obviously so on the right side perhaps

(values / committed action), but in bits and pieces it is thereand anyway it is nice to know he's out there as a fellow traveler.I'd like to meet him someday.

If you will forgive me for a bit of magical thinking ....I had that same sense about Jon Kabat-Zinn for years and years. One day I was sitting on a plane on a long flight working on a talk and the man next to me

was repeatedly looking at what was on my computer screen. Finally he said " hello, I'm JonKabat-Zinn " . I think I said back " oh, how neat. hello " but what I wasthinking " of course you are. About time you showed up! "

: )We are moving together was a community toward a different kind of consciousness. It may take 10,000 years, I don't know. But we are travelling a road together as a species. And now even the scientists.

I'd like to think we are adding something ... but as I say, with that hat on I'mhumbled looking at a guy like this. I was reading a language researcher the other day who was looking at the rate of change

of language and then using those rates to work backward to guess how long we have been usingsymbols. Her answer. 100,000 years. Nothing. An eye blink.Humans are cognitive babies

Science is just a way to dig down towhat works ... and a whole lot of people have a lot of wisdom about what works. That has been so for thousands of years,as we've realize what a tiger we are riding.

I suppose I would have felthumbled by the spiritual leaders of the past too In that context peace, love, and life to all on the list ... and for those who celebrate it, Happy Easter

I am humbled by you, , and thankful for your willingness to share pieces of yourself with us. Maybe someday when I'm on a plane, you will be seated next to me and I'll say to you "oh, how neat, hello."
