Guest guest Posted July 28, 2011 Report Share Posted July 28, 2011 hi Sharyn, there are two settings for the SmartVest use - 1) rate of vibration 10-20 hz, and 2) how tight it squeezes, 1- 0. I find the most comfortable and effective, is higher hurtz have lower pressure and vice versa. I find using the vest is most effective (for me) with 'active breathing' rather than just sitting - doing deep breathing and huff breaths, this way stuff comes up without forced effort. Straining to cough up fatigues many parts of the body - abs,diaphragm (GERD) etc. remember, everyone is different - don't be afraid to try different things and find what suits .. applies to anyone .... happy puffing! joy h Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
