What were the lawmakers thinking whenever > they ruled to let Texans operate motorcycles without a helmet?????It has been > proven that helmets save lives. > How can the lawmakers rule that you must wear seatbelts in an automobile, but > you can ride a cycle without a helmet. Do any of our lawmakers have any > common sense? > > Gene Sullinger EMT-P Well here goes the first time that I have responded to a concern or question of the egroup. The State of Texas does not require that motorcycle riders wear helmets. I have noticed that several are defending protecting the rider with helmets. Bravo!! Now, I am a Harley rider, paramedic and do not wear a helmet which is my decision. May or may not be very smart,, but,,, I just wonder how many of the people crying out about this issue are the same ones discussing it while smoking a cig. outside the ER ramp??? Just a question. Carry on.
