I had TCS with Dr. . It was a breeze. So much reversed instantly and

I was off of pain meds in less than a week.

Happy to answer questions. ~ Pam

How long were you in the hospital? How long till he sat you up after surgery?

And when was your follow up? Did you have stitches that needed removal or

something else? I'm having surgery with him on. My 23 so anything you can tell

me would be fantastic and greatly appreciated!!

I see him in Bethesda. It's a beautiful little town/city area very upscale

totally safe. We stayed at a Marriott hotel only 5 min from his office it was

very nice conveint and the mall is right next to the hotel with ton of food and

entertainment options.

Thanks . What type of tests does he require? Is it just the standard

MRI? or anything else?

If you have anything that was done within the las six months or within the year

he prefers those. I had nothing new just all paperwork and such from 2008. But

he sent me for a MRI face down and up. He also sent me for xrays, CT,

urodynamics study, blood work, and a lumbar puncture done by him, and I think

that was it. But be prepared. He is always hours late for your appointment and

ever visit I've had it's been almost an hr or more that he talks to you checks

you out treatment plans etc. He is the best dr I have met and I've met tons I

mean I've visited at least 7 Neurosurgen alone not to mention other doctors and

he truly is the best hands down worth the wait. You can call make and appt and

if your traveling make plans to stay a hotel at least one day there's Marriott's

5 min from his office. Because sometimes he can schedule your MRI that day or

next morning and other tests and ten see you again so you don't have to travel a

lot back and forth. It happened to me twice so I give my self two days pay for

one knowing if I need another I have it after the one. Plus day of your appt

don't be afraid to call and ask if he's running late most times it's due to him

having Emergancy surgeries and such that he falls behind. Let me know if you

decide to make an appt

why would a lumbar puncture be necessary and I thought it was not a good thing

to do if you have a tethered cord? Did it hurt?

He does it to check the pressure because alot of time pressue and fluid can

mimic a tethered cord being symptomatic but really you just need a shunt back

their instead bc if that's the problem and you just keep have cord releases then

you never fix the problem. Not everyone gets one it depends on your symptoms

have long you've felt that way etc. And no it doesn't hurt its kinda like an

epidural but they numb you before they go in and it's mostly feels like pressure

as if was pushing really deep in your back. Depending on your history if you

ever had a spinal leak or spinal headache then you might do an over night

hospital stay just to make you more comfortable till you can walk again and sit

up and such.
