Guest guest
Has anyone heard of TMS- Tension myositis syndrome (TMS), also known as tension myoneural syndrome, is a name given by E. Sarno to a condition he describes as characterized by psychosomaticmusculoskeletal and nerve symptoms, most notably back pain.
Guest guest
Hi , Here's what I found in my textbook. Tension is defined as pressure Myositis is inflammation of a muscle Myoneural is pertaining to a nerve and muscle Musculoskeletal is pertaining to the organs that support the body and allow it to move. Psychosomatic is pertaining to the body and mind You may want to ask the doctor what HE means by psychosomatic. I hope this helps, Kellie Sent from my LG phone Dybowski wrote: >Has anyone heard of TMS- >Tension myositis syndrome (TMS), also known as tension myoneural syndrome, is a name given by E. Guest guest
I think Dr. Sarno just believed the mind could overcome back pain. I haven't read his stuff in many years. I don't know if he was referring to all back pain ie including nerve pain or only muscular skeletal pain and not including neuropathies etc. Obviously, it isn't discussed much anymore..seemed to be a brief flash in the pan but of course for those able to achieve that degree of mind control (after all Pain isn't Pain til the Brain calls it Pain) how wonderful for them. Is he still alive and around? Randee Re: TMS?? Hi , Here's what I found in my textbook.
