Guest guest
Spoiler alert, this will be gross. Don't read if you haven't ever examined your own or someone elses' stool. (Sorry.) Okay, my son is the one with autism, but I knew my own digestion has been " different " for quite some time. Having added various supplements to my own regime lately, I decided to examine the contents of my own stool. I was pretty shocked at some things I found, and did a google image search for " parasites in stool. " I believe I have found the various stages of liver flukes or maybe intestinal flukes (not sure if there is any difference in appearance.) After doing some reading, I realize it is possible I aquired them through my love of sushi, mussels, or maybe the clam chowder I eat several nights a week when I wait tables. This is the group to go to for info on parasites, so please help. What is the best way to get rid of them? Is it possible I could have given them to my son or dog too? Is it possible my dog gave them to me? How worried should I be? By the way, other than minor digestion issues, there weren't any symptoms. I just noticed a change in digestion when I started taking Bacopa monniera for anxiety/memory issues, so I went on a hunt. Glad I did. I am also taking Olive Leaf Extract, Milk Thistle, Phosphatydyl Serine, LDM-100, Broccoli (stem/bud), allithiamine, and selenium. Heidi, I just read your post about needing to pull back posting so much. I understand that and am so grateful for all the info you have shared thus far. However, I recognize your name as someone who knows this stuff both as having been through it personally and by putting the research in. I really trust your opinion and would love your advice if you have time. If not, I completely understand and would like for someone who has had experience with this to please email me on or off the list. Obviously, I'm not too embarrassed to discuss poop on the internet. I don't think this is such a big thing compared to Lyme, but it is freaking me out nonetheless. I love sushi, but I will never eat it again.
