Guest guest
I have to start out with, it depends, but I will share some thoughts. Odds are that an ill child with autism is going to have yeast and toxins. If you need these to support the treatment to the insurance, than they are good to do. When one is treating infections, reportedly toxins start to also decrease; thus, I would rather treat infections first. Clostridia is customarily treated first in the autism arena because it is a very serious problem, but also appears to be much easier to treat and keep at bay as compared to yeast and toxins. I would definitely want the Clostridia levels to be normal before trying to treat the much more challenging toxins and infections, and I would guess your doc will agree. If your child has significantly improved since the last testing for Clostridia, than your doc may feel that it's been conquered, and want to move on to another area. Love and prayers, Heidi N Need opinions please: I'm trying to decide if I should do a yeast/bacteria test right now or a heavy metals test. I can only afford to do one test for now and the other in a few months. Last OAT was done two years ago - showed very high clostridia and yeast markers. Have not rechecked since starting treatment for these issues. We have never done heavy metals testing, though I am positive my son is metal toxic due to being overvaccinated as a preemie. If choosing between urine or hair for testing heavy metals which do you all think is a better choice?
