Wow! I wish I had been there, I bet that would have been fun.

than a skunk, mostly after I posted to you guys. Ya don't wanna know

what I did/said to my friends - thank goodness (their goodness), they

are mostly understanding today - after I admitted the truth.

and that's how I felt at first. But I feel better now that I've admitted

it. Facing the truth is the most healing thing on earth, IMO. I am so

very human and so very flawed. But a good person, nonetheless .

Fun while it lasted, true. But oh the price I'm paying today. I drank a pint of vodka, and since I'm not used to drinking, it was way too much and I have been sicker than a dog all day. I learned my lesson. No more drunk-out sessions for me! I'm trying not to feel ashamed - I'm only human - but I certainly do feel remorse. And I'm still sick at 5:00 p.m. and couldn't eat all day. So not worth it!HelenaTo: "ACT for the Public" <ACT_for_the_Public >Sent: Sunday, April 15, 2012 4:30:21 PMSubject: Re: In all honesty

Kv,The drink-more/crave more thing doesn't happen for most people. I used to think it did--until I quit drinking. Suddenly I began to notice all the half-glasses and unfinished pints that were left on restaurant tables after the customers had left. Who were these drink-leaving people doing and exactly what did they think they were doing with that alcohol? It was clearly something different than I had been doing with it. What sort of person leaves a pint of ale half-unfinished?

I found out when I married one of them. If my wife orders a second drink, she will leave half of it in the glass. When I ask if she doesn't crave a third or fourth, she looks at me like I'm a space alien. Apparently these non-cravers of drink are in the majority.

Granted, pubs and liquor stores would go out of business depending on them, but they still seem to outnumber us.Best,Jim

I have always been fascianted as to why alcohol makes you crave to drink

more. I remember going down pubs when I was a teeanager and we would all

get slaughtered, but at last orders we might all have a full pint each

in front of us and yet we would still get a last round in. But how

could that last pint make any difference, or the last 3 we had for that

matter.
