Thought I would update my family as well. The last 4 years have been very

intense, researching hours a day. I have acquired a lot more knowledge than

what I have had time to put into practice, so I am kind of slowing down now. I

have been taking a break of sorts, spending more time with family and all the

things I have had to ignore during this research and recovery period. My kids

and I still need treatments and diet to keep symptoms away. They are all still

in regular school, but do have break-through symptoms when they eat wheat or go

off of meds. My current favorite treatment is Vaccination Detox from Nature's

Sunshine.

Some things I have learned are: Autism, chronic fatigue, and a bunch of those

other diagnoses with chronic symptoms seem to be related to an inflammation

loop. This inflammation loop is caused my multiple things: toxins, pathogens,

and things that effect one's toxin and pathogen load and/or immune or digestion

function. I think homeopathy has the best theories right now, meaning balance is

key. I took everything slow and liked it this way. Going fast just seemed to

cause back-fire. I don't think there will ever be one direct cause of autism or

chronic fatigue or even chronic Lyme identified because there are multiple

causes that lead to the immune dysfunction state. So, it's likely just an

out-of-whack immune state that needs to be put back into balance which will vary

per person based upon many things. To clarify, pertaining to Lyme Disease,

those with chronic Lyme that do not respond to short-term antibiotic treatments,

seemingly need long-term treatments and often in many areas, not just directly

killing the Lyme with one treatment. Fortunately, right now, with some effort,

one can find many great practitioners to choose from. I would even try local,

non-famous herbalists because they know about balance which appears to be the

core of the problem. Patience is definitely an asset that is also needed.

Recovery seems to come in steps.

I do read the posts, daily, even though I am not posting as much. Anyone can

still contact me privately or post my name to get my attention. I highly

appreciate all the very intelligent members to this list, and want to remind

everyone that we are very willing to share our knowledge, so please ask your

questions no matter how simple you might thing they are. We are here to share

and keep the recovery movement going strong! If someone contacts me and I don't

respond, try again because I don't ignore people but sometimes I lose emails due

to various reasons.

Love and prayers,

Heidi N
