Guest guest
speaking of assuming other people's traits, this woman assumed their lives, and conned the NY times into running a story on her: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/28/garden/28jones.html? _r=1 & pagewanted=all & oref=slogin It's about a memoir of a former gang member/drug dealer (who turned out to be a fraud...she went to high school briefly with a few gang members but apparently lived an upper middle class existence). Reading this article made me think wow, that is a smooth con artist that can work with people for three years on a book and get the NY Times to publish a fawning article on you, in which not a word is true: " Shoot, I'm happy, " said Ms. , 33, a single mother who spent her youth as a foster child and gang member. She was dealing drugs on the streets of South Central Los Angeles before she hit puberty. " I'm making do. At least I'm not in three rooms anymore. " I don't know why this struck me...it makes my tendency to pick up mannerisms and tics seem tame by comparison. Too funny.
