Guest guest
Dear Wendi: The term " thecal " was used in the radiologist's report regarding my MRI: " There is moderate indentation on the thecal sac, however no cord compression is present. " It is apparently the sac around the spinal cord, according to my nurse-sister. Dictionary describes theca (noun) as: " a case or sheath enclosing an organ. " Thecal is the adjective form. from GA
Guest guest
Hi al, I was wondering what the thecal sac is too. I have a herniated disc in my lumbar spine---herniated into the thecal sac. On another subject, Irene called yesterday with my surgery date. It is on March 20. I am so glad to have a date. Love, Maureen -----Original Message----- From: Wendi Otero >>3) This one I could use some help on: " Disk herniation at C5-C6 with what I feel is a disk herniation pushing against at least the thecal sac if not the cord itself. " Anyone know what the thecal sac is? I've never heard this term, before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ WACMA Site: http://www.pressenter.com/~wacma Your Personal support group member page: http://www.eGroups.com/group/chiari/ **Avoid List Congestion: Unsubscribe from this list: mailto:chiari-unsubscribeegroups Contact list mgmt: mailto:chiari-owneregroups ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com Home: /group/chiari/ - Simplifying group communications
