Guest guest
Dear Admin, I recently had an acquaintance with acceptance and commitment therapy. I am conducting a research about “The effect of acceptance and commitment therapy on the quality of life of infertile couplesâ€. In Iran, I haven’t access to the “ACT with love “book. Also there is no possibility of buying the book(because of sanctions) and it is not possible to access the books about ACT and couples. I would ask if possible, you send me protocol for using Act to treat couples and Act manuals of anxiety.I would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.Thank youKind regards, Mohsen AbdollahiE-mail:mohsen.a.poor@... Guest guest
This went to the whole list Mohsen. This list is fornormal folks using ACT to help with their personal problems. It is not for professionals per seIn another email I will explain how to get the resources you need. Once you join ACBS you will want to join the professional list serve: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/acceptanceandcommitmenttherapy/join I am replying to the whole list about this matter for another reason though. This year ACBS will bring four people to WorldCon from the developing world. We raised about $11,000; we are bringing professionals from Sierra Leone, Nepal, and other parts of the Developing World to learn about ACT and bring it back to their countries. This is the third year we've done that and it is hard to over estimate how much of a difference even such a small thing can do for people who are suffering from trauma, tribal violence, a lack of health care resources, and the likeIf you have resources and care about such things, the link to donate to the Developing Nations Training Fundis http://contextualpsychology.org/developing_nations_fund I have also created a small fund to help specifically with those in Iranbecause the sanctions make it impossible for Iranian students or professionals even tojoin ACBS. There is no link for that but I mention it because this email is an example of how caring professionals sometimes needhelp to be able to help others- S C.
