Guest guest
and All, PLEASE DO NOT let them inject anything into your spine. After speaking with my new nsg, he and I both believe that this is what caused my syrinx. I had a cisternogram done which is where they inject radioactive dye via a lumbar puncture and then they take xrays at different intervals over two days. I believe that it is wacma recommendation (correct me if I'm wrong), that noone with acm have any kind of spinal puncture ever. I think it causes the tonsils also to pull down further causing further compression (mine were originally 6mm and are now 15mm). So please be careful. CINE MRI is the best flow study and it only involves being in the mri tube and they dye is put into a vein like an IV. Nothing should hurt. Hope this helps. Kathi/Pt Orchard.WA adamsk60@...
