Guest guest
Cassie, I get hiccups alot. But, until your e-mail I didn't know it had anything to do with GI problems. I hold my breath while drinking about 8-10 swallows of water. It has always worked for me. I hope you find a cure.
Guest guest
Cassie, I have no idea about hiccups related to liver disease or any other disease for that matter and I am sure if there is someone else here will let you know, but I sometimes get horrible hiccups and my only remedy is fresh lime slices drenched in sugar and you suck out the lime juice. I know it sounds crazy, but it works for me. A bartender in Key West told me the remedy years ago and I have been using it ever since. I hope it helps you. I was looking on the web for hiccup remedies (thats how bad they are) and on a few sites it said that people with liver diseases or gastro. disorders often get chronic hiccups...just wondering if any of you have bad hiccups!I have had them off and on. Once I had them for over a week. What finally stopped them is my Doc doubling my Prilosec dose.
Guest guest
Cassie, ever since my colon surgeries, I have had something like a hiccup, but not really, more like a involuntary contraction that produces a wierd noise and usually comes after eating. I guess that is my body's way of farting and without a colon...well, I guess.. Seriously though, I have experienced the hiccups too, and I think that maybe my esophogus is having a contraction or something. Maybe Aubrey can shed some medical light on this. ===== in Michigan (Dx UC 1984, Dx MISSING COLON 1999, Dx PSC 1997, PSC symptoms 2000) __________________________________________________
