Guest guest
picking up from an old message - yes, inhaled abx can most definitely cause thrush, sore throat, dry mouth etc. I used Fungilin lozenges a lot when I was doing neb abx, this did help. I still slowly suck on the Fungilin lozenges when on IV abx, and during night seems to prevent my mouth drying out so badly, with the resultant mouth blisters and ulcers, be aware any abx will up the chances of fungal 'opportunism', so I've found it good to have the lozenges on hand, and haven't needed the heavier fungal meds to clear what eventually becomes systemic infx (viz. fungal, usually Candidia albicans.) cheers joy
Guest guest
Has anyone in America heard of Fungilin lozenges? I haven't and would love to know a source to buy them. They sound like a great aid when taking antibiotics or when dry mouth is a problem.
