Such talent wasted and gone down the tubes!!! I agree. It's painful watching a yalented artist self-destruct, same with Whitney Houston. > BTW, Anyone here catch on VH1 Dr. Drew's " Celebrity Rehab? See, just because people can sing, dance, act, throw a ball, what have you, doesn't mean they're not still flawed human beings, like the rest of us. We shouldn't hold them to a higher standard. Why do some take celebrities as role-models? I never did. Parents should explain to their kids that celebs are only human and do stupid things sometimes. D. Yes, I think we have tp be careful what we impute onto role models, and see that this is coming from our side, not theirs. I'm sure some role models fall *because* so very much is expected of them. Without that pressure, ironically, they might actually be much better role models. Maybe post-humous role models are the best ...? Genyin -- " I know the answer! Guest guest
Yes, posthumous role models are very good. It's easy to be well-behaved when you're already dead. > > On 20/01/2008, Delila <watertiger9@...<watertiger9%40verizon.net>> > wrote: > > > See, just because people can sing, dance, act, throw a ball, what have > you, > > doesn't mean they're not still flawed human beings, like the rest of us. > We > > shouldn't hold them to a higher standard.
