I have had the same thing for a week or so, and was

just dxed with " light candida albicans " and given 6

diflucan for 6 weeks. All previous cultures negative,

but the " glue " is new for me,

Isn't someone coming up with a home culture for yeast?

Garlic is good for glabrata. Diflucan is not supposed

to be so hot.

: I would be so grateful if you would keep us all posted

on this. I think that I have the same thing happening, but my

doctor won't even do a culture. He says you would see it on the smear

if it were there. BULL. Elmer's glue is a very appropriate

description of me, too. I can get another doctor (my internest) to

give me the med I ask for. He will do amitrityline or neuontrin or

what ever I want. Am waiting until after my surgery (hip

replacement) before screwing around with new meds.

I KNOW my redness and burning comes from the vaginal discharge. If

I plug it up with a tampon, my burning gets better. DUH. Why

won't my doc investigate????

So, when you culture and senstitivity come back. I can get the med

you are going to get and try it, too. So, PLEASE, keep us posted.

Candace. Diflican for 6 weeks ??? One a week for six weeks

or what????

My do doc would not do this. He said bad for liver. Please tell

me the dose and how many times a week you are taking it. My doc

just gave me Terazole 7 cream.. Put in for seven nights.

Anyone have any experience with this??

For me now the Terazol makes my pain worse. This is probably because

I have a systemic infection (in the gut or possibly in the vestibular

and urethral glands) and the cream can not get to the infection. It

is my understanding that Terazol is pretty much the same as Monostat

or the other yeast infection creams you get over the counter.

On the other hand, my current doctor gave me 100 mg Diflucan a day

for two weeks. They did a blood test to make sure my liver could

handle it. I was a little concerned about the high dosage and how

much would be in my system at once but the doc (who is a

gynecologist/endocrinologist) says they sometimes give doses of up to

800mg at a time for serious infections so this is not too out there.

This is just my experience, of course, and I don't have the discharge

like you do. I have had several yeast infections that are seen on

slides in the past 6 months or so, as well as the vestibulitis pain.
