Guest guest
Misty, If you decide to go for nut milk, you will need to becareful with oxalates. I was having a lot of nuts and nut drinks(used to make them myself from sprouted nuts)and I developed a very bad urination issues and pain. I had an oxalate test recently and found out that mym oxalate leves are very high and since then I have gone Low oxalate and have started taking some supplements suggested in the group. Now as a sort of calcium I am eating a bit of cultured butter I make from raw organic cow milk instead of nuts. Guest guest
I don't know enough to speak to that ... sorry. All I know is that my son's oxylates were high ... and because his diet was already so totally restricted, the DR didn't feel it would be nutritionally wise to remove all nuts and the proteins they provide for my son to reduce oxylates (and a few other things) ... so he recommended us trying P5P with magnesium. Worked like a charm ... his oxylates remain low ... and he is able to process and digest the higher oxylate foods without issues.
