Guest guest
I got my son's cd 57 results back. They are: %cd8-/cd57+ Lymphs 1.0 low Abs. cd8-/cd57+ Lymphs 45 low So these are obviously low and we will have further testing done. My question is, he is three. I have read that cd 57 may not be conclusive for children, since they don't make enough NK cells until age 13. Have you found this to be true, or are there conflicting opinions out there? Thanks, Bethany
Guest guest
I didn't understand your result. What's the total count(they give a number) is it 45? If yes, its very low. Its also true that CD57 is useless in kids(Dr.). Sasmita > > I got my son's cd 57 results back. Guest guest
Sasmita, The 45 is the one the has a normal range of 60-360, so that must be the total count. I am looking at doing a western blot or a dot blot with my son next. Do you have an opinion on which would be better? We think the Lyme is congenital, and I have heard the dot blot would be more accurate. We are working with a DAN right now, so he's being very kind and doing the tests I want. Guest guest
Ok, I believe in Western blot(cheapest way) a lot. But some coinfections like Bartonella doesn't show up in that. What about the complete Igenex profile? Sasmita > > > > > > I got my son's cd 57 results back. Guest guest
Oh, of course, that's right. I'm getting too focused here. I just checked the LIA website and I think my DAN ordered one of the more comprehensive kits anyway. Thanks!! > > > > > > > > I got my son's cd 57 results back.
