I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I found myself a

member of several of these WTO yahoo groups and a couple other yahoo

mail list groups and my e-mails were getting unmanageable so I

changed my status to 'web only' on all the others but this one. One

of them was a freecycle group for my county and yesterday I received

a 'farewell' e-mail from them, and I couldn't figure out why because

I knew I hadn't canceled my membership, just changed it to web only.

Then down at the bottom it said 'if you changed your status to web

only, you've probably been unsubscribed by a moderator'. It really

griped me until I read further where it said that unsubscribing

could take several days so I might continue to recieve messages, but

that 'in time you'll be able to continue on in your world completely

oblivious to our little list here'. That took me aback, it just

reeks of bpd or something similar. A friend of mine mentioned she

noticed the list had dwindled alot and wasn't near as active as it

used to be; now I know why. I'd also noticed with every e-mail I was

getting the moderator was posting the rules and there seemed to be a

new rule once a week or so, which was a thinly-veiled critique of

something someone had posted. Well, I enjoyed that list and wanted

to remain a member but it's not worth tanling with that kind of

personality over. LOL.
