Re: Medicaid and Texas Nursing Homes

Hi All:)

I have been reading in the Dallas Morning Newspaper

almost weekly or sometimes every other day about how

Texas Medicaid is getting closer and closer to cutting

services to Nursing Homes, which in turn is going to

make about 85 nursing homes in North Texas or the Dallas

area alone to close this many nursing homes, as the cuts

in money Medicaid will be paying the nursing homes, is not

good and a lot of N.H. with high number of Medicaid patients

will not be able to afford for them to live there.

It is terrifying to think this could happen. The talks

seem to be getting closer and closer to happening.

Is anyone else in this state I live in heard this and what

are you concerns?

Is there others in other states going to experience cuts in

Medicaid where their loved ones live in a nursing home and

are worried?

The economy in the U.S. is horrible and has been for a long time.

Also in Texas, cuts are going to be in schools, and so so so many

other places.
