Guest guest
For an interesting 'take' on the history of Constipation "a curse of the civilized man 'and his bowels, this is an amusing article that came out from the Washington school of Med, in Washington, and published by Stanford U.and the British Medical journal... Be sure to read the ad & picture called 'Bowel Bloat' for children from the 1900's, I had to enlarge it (twice) to read it , there's one of anal dilators from 1938, interesting read too and looks like some of the 'toy's' I've seen out today, *chuckle*.., and I can't believe how one doctor did so many colonectomy's (colectomys?) thinking 'his' drainage system was so much more satisfactory than natures. It's just amusing the history of it all and how easy we all are to fall prey for some things. Anyway, just a side track here.
