Guest guest
Hi all Just a comment on Denas situation and her resolution of pain during ovulation, again I'm wondering about the Estrogen factor, being that would be when her Estrogen is at it's highest levels. makes ya go ummmmmm.... Guest guest
Dear Dena, You are not stupid and you are not missing a thing. This BC pill/hormone thing is real tricky. For me I felt my best, almost completely pain free on days 3-10 of my cycle. Ovulation was an endurance test to see how much I could take without going crazy from pain! I started taking the mono phasic pill Alesse and do not stop taking the hormone pills to get a period. So my reasoning was like yours, if indeed I do stop the phase of my cycle that I feel good during shouldn't I feel bad all the time? Makes perfectly good sense and it seems like sound reasoning but there's another angle to consider here. If you start taking BC pills you'll be in effect changing your hormonal levels and cycle entirely. I'm not saying you'll feel better for having changed things but you do have at least a chance at it. Like Dee said, estrogen levels are highest when you ovulate so if you add estrogen to your body might you feel better for it? You may even have to try several types of BC pills to find one that agrees with you. I spent 4 miserable months finding something that not only made my vulva feel better but that didn't give me migraines. (the migraines were the problem, not the vulva. my vulva loves all bc pills) You have a lot to consider and think about. Please let me know what you decide and how your feeling. I know this is very hard. Blessings, Shirley. > Hi all: > > Sorry for the redundancy of this question, but I'm going to pose it again > because I am really confused... > > I get total - and I do mean TOTAL - resolution of symptoms at ovulation. No > redness, no pain, nothing. Nice pink, full vulvar tissue. My take on it is this: If I only get > relief when I ovulate, and I take a pill to supress ovulation, then it seems > obvious to me that when ovulation ceases, so will my short-lived relief > every month! > > Am I stupid? What am I missing here? > > Thanks. > > Dena
