I know I have seen a couple posts about the rx med. Diamox and would like more

info. on it.

If you are taking this medicine for pressure-type headaches please let me know

how it is working for you, your past headache history, length of time on

Diamox, how soon it gave you relief, how did you find out about the med,

etc.?

I am almost 6 weeks post-op and am still having the pressure-type headaches

everyday just as before the surgery. I posted a message when I was 4 weeks

post-op noting that my nsg was out of town and that the Lortab, Valium, and

Ibuprofen were not working.

The nsg talked to me when back in town and was going to prescribe Midrin, but

I had been on before surgery with no luck, plus I believe this is for

migraines, and what I am having is not a migraine.

I would like to bring any comments about Diamox with me to my 6 week follow-up

vistit this Monday and ask nsg if he could prescribe it for me. I am planning

on going back to work full time on Feb 28 and wish I could go back

headache-free or at least that was the plan my nsg, my family, and I had all

along. Maybe our hopes were too high and it will just take a little longer to

feel better. My nsg just sent me to physical therapy which I am to continue 3

days a week for 3 weeks. I think this will help with the tightness in the

back of the head and neck, shoulder area by breaking down scar tissue and

loosening up muscles, but not sure about the actual headaches.

Thanks for you answers. I really appreciate your help.

Kay
