Guest guest
I don't think it was that obvious. I certainly wasn't aware of that. I assume all polls are secret ballot unless broadcast otherwise. Others may have also. Maybe more people knew about it than I thought which would explain the poor " voter turn-out " . Have a GREAT one! Guest guest
NO! There was no warning and I'm really angry to look on there and see my email address and vote listed! Not a good thing. I, for one, will discontinue voting on polls. Take care, stay safe, and practice mercy, ya'll!! (But don't list my name and vote in a poll!) Guest guest
It did not state that the votes were public and when the results were posted as we voted, it was not broken down by who voted for or against what! This is . . .. ... . . . ok,. . . . .. . .1 . . . . .2 . . . . .3 . . . . . Take care, stay safe, and practice mercy, ya'll!! Guest guest
I think that we need a re-count of all the votes to make sure they are right. wd [texasems-L] Poll results > > > > > > I admit I didn't participate in any way in the poll, but I am just > curious, > > were the participants aware that you were going to post the results by > name? > > If not I would suggest you may have done some of them a disservice. > > > > Steve Athey > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
I don't want a recount, I voted, fortunately there were not any butterfly ballots, and i really wanted some " chad " , but if an appeal is necessary, which Supreme Court do I appeal too??? Guest guest
I agree, Jana! Guest guest
Yeah, I probably got more angry than I should have, but . . .. ok, I won't get angry again! I'm breathing deeply! Ya'll take care and everyone please accept my apologies for my rants and raves! Guest guest
Anyone can go to the egroup and view any poll, it can be set to show the email or not. Any poll can be viewed only by the person doing the poll or it can automatically be sent to the egroup. Any poll can be open to anyone or just the person doing the poll, and various other things. ect;,ect; ect; Also a poll can have a closing date, be closed at anytime, or stay open for ever. When some one calls your phone # or sends you an email for a poll you can participate or not. You would think in the last national election anyone would know that, by now. In the members area of the egroup you can just list your email, or how much life insurance you have. I'd like to see some more polls on EMS issues, and anyone can participate or not. I will with name and email address. I have nothing to hide. Ron [texasems-L] Poll results I admit I didn't participate in any way in the poll, but I am just curious, were the participants aware that you were going to post the results by name? If not I would suggest you may have done some of them a disservice. Steve Athey eGroups Sponsor
Guest guest
Aw heck...here we go with the " nothing to hide " issue again! Ron, I don't mind participating in polls. In fact, I enjoy it. But I really don't see why everyone's email has to be posted next to how they voted. Some people could have some explaining to do at work for their answers to some of the questions. If you can set it to where emails don't show, why not do it that way. You would probably have a better turn out than if everyone gets " outed " . Connie --- wrote: > Anyone can go to the egroup and view any poll, it > can be set to show the email or not.
