Guest guest
I read that a couple of people posted in December re Aricept 23 and that it didn't work well for a few people (too many side effects). I want to pass along the results of this drug from a caregiver in my support group. Her husband had been very agitated and was not able to hold a conversation. This went on for months. Aricept 23 was prescribed and he's no longer agitated and holds conversations with his wife. She said it took about two weeks for it to work and that he sometimes complains about a headache when he first wakes up. Though this drug may not be for everyone with LBD because of its strength and possible side effects, I had to let everyone know just in case. We don't hear good news like this often. Guest guest
Similar experience with my mom...Aricept made all the difference, brought her personality back, and improved her ability to converse and go about her daily tasks. I would not discontinue it for anything. -- His, Sherry daughter/guardian of , dx 4/09 with LBD, living in a nearby NH > I read that a couple of people posted in December re Aricept 23 and > that it didn't work well for a few people (too many side effects). Guest guest
Not certain if this would work for anyone, but thought I'd share. My sister is on 25 mgs of Aricept daily but it's delivered 10/10/5 (morning, afternoon and evening). Trying to administer the high dosage all together resulted in terrible nausea, so we split it up and it works very well. She's been on this dosage for nearly 3 years. > > I read that a couple of people posted in December re Aricept 23 and that it didn't work well for a few people (too many side effects).
