.. I can feel the muscles twitching fast and tightly where she

says it hurts.

Dorothy, is this like those awful nighttime Charlie Horses? If so, many times

it can be helped by giving gatorade or some kind of rehydration drinks. (at

least that was the advice given on another list I belong to for special needs

children) I know many older people do not drink enough, and I don't think it

would hurt anything to see if it would make a difference if you wanted to try

it.

All the best

Kathy

Dorothy,

Lyrica or Neurontin. Lyrica didn't help. It does with some. My Dad has LBD and

he takes neurontin at night. The problem with LB patients with these

medications, if it is given throughout the day, they won't be able to move. They

work with the nerves in the muscles. At night, my Dad is able to sleep well and

my Mom states he doesn't jerk like he did before. He tried it 3x a day, and fell

over into the couch head first. Start low and go slow as with all the meds. She

may not need anything but a night dose.

, daughter of Ralph, 81 years old with LBD now 5 years.
