Guest guest
I would like to interject here that I was on the birth control pills for about six months at the beginning of my menopause because I was having irregular bleeding. To my great surprise I became pregnant. I never took the pill again until about three months after my VV started and I only took them for about a year. So I must conclued that the pill had no effect on my vulvodynia. Ora >I too have read studies that show women who have been on the pill a >long time are predisposed to VV. My theory, and this is just my >personal theory, is that long term use of the pill causes your >natural hormones to go out of whack and is the cause of some women's >VV pain. I recall a woman on one of the VV lists here saying hormone >tests showed she was low on estrogten and prgesterone. I'm being >tested in a few days for a hormone allergy, to progesterone >specifically, I'll get back to y'all when I get results on this... > >
