Guest guest
Colleen: There is an excellent site on eczema at www.yarmouth.org/ps/links/e/eczema. They do show a relationship with food allergy in some cases. Also the connection with eczema and asthma was in Medscape this week. Ann Gloyn, DB Specialist Teacher, Canada Eczema > I know we have discussed this topic in the past but I need some help. > has eczema and it is flaring again. It seems to always be there > just worse some days. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what stops > the itching? I feel for her as she is constantly scratching. Her neck, > face, arms and legs seem to always have scratches on them...and I try so > hard to keep her nails clipped. And those involved in her life find it > necessary to point out her scratching (as well as her constant runny nose > and tongue sticking out! lol) Any thoughts would help. Guest guest
Hi Colleen, I am just checking mail from the beginning of April. It has been another rough couple of weeks in this house. Anyways, when we took to the Nutritionist and her first question was about dry skin. We were told from her and many other doctors that milk products can have that affect on the skin. Know that he has been off the milk products his skin is less blotchy and dry. It might be worth a try. It is usually a sign that the child is allergic to milk products when the skin produces a very dry, patchy rash-like exzema. I'll call you towards the end of the week.
