I click 'N' for new and never use the compose button. My cursor has to be in

the inbox list or in the reading pane.

Yahoo! Mail Problem

Suddenly the <Compose> button does not work for

me when I want to write an email in Yahoo! Mail.

The other buttons (reply, forward, contacts,

options) respond, but not the <Compose>.

Does anyone have a solution?

It is cumbersome to initiate an email by means

other than the <Compose> button.

I am using Leopard OS 10.5 and I just upgraded to

10.5.1, which is when my trouble started.

I stopped using Yahoo because of things in my accounts stopping

working like that. You most likely can continue to work round it, but

I'd advise ditching Yahoo and opening an account with someone else

like Googlemail. Hotmail, for the record, is as bad as Yahoo.

The only thing I don't like about Googlemail is you can't create

folders to direct posts from different lists to. To get around that I

have a number of Googlemail accounts. It usually stops me from

committing the " cross list posting " offence. ;-)

I am curious to know whether you are using an

Apple computer.

I know their other services block out Apple, but

I didn't expect their mail service to do so.

Three times I have tried and failed to be able to

open a Googlemail account.

I don't like Google's exclusive attitude.

The necessity for an invitation in order to open

an account is outrageous.

And the way they made their company stock go

public was also exclusive in that it pushed out

the little investor.

Deep down I don't trust them.

Yahoo owns Hotmail so if I changed it would not

be in that direction.

I have an Apple Computer and use both Yahoo and Google. I did not have to have

an

invitation to open my Google e-mail account. I have not had any problems with

Yahoo

either. Apple/Mac is nice in that they do not get viruses like other computers.
