Guest guest
Deepta, You can't correct a coloboma, but you can help a lazy eye!! Kennedy has b/l colobomas on the optic nerve and her vision was much better in her left eye originally but with glasses and patching, her eyes are now equal. I'd get a second opinion if I were you. Now this causes her eye to be lazy. Her opthalmologist said that since this is essentially due to an incorrectable situation there isn't much that can be done for e.g like putting glasses or patching etc. I do know that the colobomas cannot be repaired etc. but I see that so many of you are discussing glasses and patching etc. Am I missing something? Or is there something that I could do for my daughter?DeeptaFor information about the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation or to become a member please contact marion@... or visit the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation web page at http://www.chargesyndrome.org
