Guest guest
OK, I can't quite tell if these are thyroid dump symptoms or generalized adrenal misery. Last night I woke up with my heart pounding right out of my chest. Then, this morning I felt faint on & off all morning. I HATE that feeling. Not dizzy, but more like passing out is coming on. Wasn't helped when I laid down, but as I mentioned in another post, eating seemed to help, but it wasn't a typical sugar crash. Had one episode of diarrhea (sorry so graphic). Then I had this weird sensation of being cold on the outside & inside. Like a cool gel spread through my chest and arms. My fingers were freezing. The faintness & cool gel feeling subsided around 2pm (when my thyroid meds start winding down, damn it!) Also having that icky feeling like I'm coming down with something, although there are no symptoms progressing into a cold or flu. Horribly fatigued today, but couldn't sleep until about 4pm. Feet still freezing right now. Really, really feel like crap today. Of course, what I'm afraid of is that I take a couple of Isocort, and my adrenals are so bad off that they just shut off, and now I'm hosed. Hopefully that is NOT the case. I actually felt good yesterday. Took 2 Isocort. One in AM, one as a stress dose midday. (I think. I'm finding it very hard to remember and distinguish yesterday from the day before or any other day.) By evening I had some energy & got up & moved around a bit. Then dreaded going to sleep because of the nightmares & general lousy sleep. Today, crap. It is going to feel this horrible until I get the Isocort ramped up? Should I just bag the Isocort and move directly to HC? Honestly, I'm afraid. Afraid my adrenals are going straight to hell, and here I am, self-treating, because THEY won't recognize it until total failure. With how lousy I feel today, I'm afraid it won't be too terribly long before any dr will be able to treat me.
