Guest guest
Welcome , Nice to have you! I just discovered last nite that I could have 24 small Doritos Tosititoes Bite Size chips with my 0 point salsa and only spend 3 points! I didn't think that was bad!! Carla Newbie Hi everyone! I'm a mostly-lurker but did want to come out and say that this loop has been very, very helpful to me as I pursue my goal of losing 30 pounds. I'm going into week 3 and have lost 2.4 pounds already. Not a huge amount but slow and steady. I've found somethings that really save me - merringue cookies, carmel- flavored yogurt (3 points), FF turkey hotdogs (1 pt each) and more. I'm a little disappointed at the weight loss especially since I " m doing a lot of walking, a few aerobics classes each week and really, really watching my points. But I also figure that if I keep this rate of weight loss going that I will be at my goal in 30 weeks (give or take PMS!). That is less time than it took me to pack it on! in Milwaukee
Guest guest
Hi, Just wanted to post and introduce myself. F/35/mom of 2. I haven't have contact with my BPD mom in about 13 yrs but I struggle daily with parenting and relationship stuff, because I internalized so much of her thinking and belief system. Very glad to have found this place -- read Stop Walking many years ago and found it miraculous. Somehow never found this group before, though. Guest guest
Welcome Red Bean! Glad to have you here. Kindest regards, Mercy ilikeredbean wrote: Just wanted to say hello. I am now to the group after just recently discovering it. However, I am NOT new to BPD unfortunately. My parent (mother) has never been formorally diagnosed with BPD but meets nearly all of the criteria. Raging, not making logical/rational comments, bring up topics for ten years ago to prove her point.... and then the next second crying saying how much she loves you and that you mean the world to her, how she gave up everythign to be the best mother possible. she is also diagnosed with severe depression and does not seem to be getting better (despite frequent visits to therapist and pyschiatrist). anyway, i am at my wits end and at the same time fed up with being told by her that i'm crazy, ungrateful, mean, selfish. glad to have found this group and others experiencing BPD in their lives and i am truely sorry for anyone who has had to live with a BPD parent. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
