Guest guest
C, My condolences go out to you. It is so apparent that you loved your father and he loved you. He will be so missed by your family. Just when we think we couldn't grieve any more, we learn we can. I will keep you in my prayers. Hugs, Donna R Cared for Mom 3 years in my home and the last year at a nh. She passed away from LBD in 2002. Thank you for everything. I just want to thank everyone who created and contributed to this group. When my father was first diagnosed with LBD I had no resourses until I found this group. I'm sure the bad drug list saved his life on many occasions. On the 12th of May my dad finally lost the battle after his 7 year brave fight with LBD. He was a phenoninal human being, a brave warrior, he served his country (USA) through three wars, and an even better father and friend. I am so honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to be there caring for him during this time. He was there for me all my life as my teacher, protector and friend. My family and I got to give back just a tiny percentage of what he gave to us. Thank you, and May God bless you and your loved ones. I'm going to leave the group for a while now. How wonderful of you to see the sliver of beauty in this terrible disease - an opportunity for providing care, love, warmth to your dear ole dad! Thank you for sharing. And may you find comfort knowing that you did everything necessary to make his life with Lewy be as good as it could be. > > I just want to thank everyone who created and contributed to this group. Guest guest
Dear I was very sorry to hear that your father had died. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. You sound as though you were very close to your father and your tribute to him tells us what a man of honour and integrity he must have been. He was very blessed to have had you there to care for him. I trust that you will gain much comfort from the knowledge that you did everything you could for him. Elaine (61) from Sydney Australia Carer for husband Jim (82) who was offically diagnosed LBD Oct 2009, but symptoms began at least 5 years before. Jim died peacefully in hospital on 12th February 2011.
