*HYDRATION* *HYDRATION* *HYDRATION*

Donna~~ Every time our son checks , almost always he discovers that is

dehydrated. It happens soo quickly, it's in conceivable. I have kept water by

his side all morning and then driven to Centralia (30 miles away) only to find

that in that eriod of time, is mildly

dehydrated.....sometimes I get the " severly dehydrated " and it makes me cringe,

as though I'm not being viligant and doing my part.

It's pretty much beome our Mantra here in our family.  It's made us all

aware of how Vital it is to drink water every chance we get.  I have a fresh

and pretty much full glass sitting wherever is perched at any given

moment,  Honestly, I am having to believe it Truly Makes A Huge

Difference.....Try It, You'll Like It!!!!

Always

All Ways

Just an idea, but I found myself in a lot of pain at night and I wasn't on meds

and didn't know what was the problem. One evening I was aware I hadn't been

drinking the water I usually did. I was really surprised when I no longer was in

pain. It was simply lack of water in my system. Now I remind myself to keep the

water in my diet.

pain

My sister has been in a lot of pain with her neck, back and arm. Everyone keeps

asking me what is causing the pain. I don't really know. I'm just assuming that

it is caused by the Parkinson's. She can't take any meds for the Parkinson's

because of the LBD and I believe her joints and muscles are getting stiff and

sore. Her next doctor's appointment is 7/5, so hopefully he can fill us in.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Even when Mom wouldn't eat or drink, my daughter stopped at 7/11 and would get

her an icy slush. Mom always would drink it and it can be made at home with

homemade ingreds.

She will normally eat a frosty from s when she won't eat anything else, but

that isn't working either. It's almost like she has forgotten how to eat, is

that possible?

Thanks

Hi ,

My Mom's swallowing became an issue over the last couple of months. At this

point, she is drinking, but hasn't really eaten anything solid for the last two

days. I wonder if it's a muscular issue rather than an issue of forgetting how

to swallow.. I'm sorry for what you are going through.

Sending you strength from NY,

Helene

(Mom 77, 11 years with lbd)

,

I just found this message and don't know if anyone answered it or if you found

an answer.

Sometimes if you talk them through the eating one step at a time it helps.

" Open your mouth. " and tap their mouth with the spoon or fork at the same time.

" Chew " or " Swallow. " Just keep helping them through it. Anything that takes

steps to do, which is almost anything, is difficult for them eventually. We

don't realize how automatic we do things once we learn them.

Hope this helps some.
